Rhythm is a folded cardboard wall hanging shelf which derives its strength from a repeated triangular support structure. Its flexibility means it can be initially configured according to the whims of its owner. As a product of my design process Rhythm attempts to reconcile the essential beauty of microscopic forms found in nature with everyday function and simplicity.
Rhythm was made initially as a hand made edition of 7 unique shelves, which were sold through Eon Design Centre in Auckland in 2008.
